Massage for the elderly Have you ever worked with elderly, frail, or chronically ill clients and wondered if the treatment was appropriate for them?. This course will outline and explain appropriate treatment strategies for working with clients who are elderly, frail, chronically ill, or injured. With the advancement in science and medicine, we have a growing elderly population and we need to look for effective methods of care to complement the healthcare that traditional medicine can offer. As a society, our spending on healthcare for the elderly requires a huge budget, so anything that can help reduce the negative effects on our ageing health, is a great benefit to society. Not only is this just in a financial sense, but also we all gain and benefit from having a happier and healthier older generation. Staying mobile is an important part of keeping well and helps prevent both physical and mental welling This course enables you to bring the benefits of massage to elderly and is suitable for massage therapists and those working in the care industry. It discusses the benefits, contraindications, the ageing process, appropriate techniques, and positioning of clients. ​ This Course Will Present: Health & Safety Anatomy & Physiology Why we age The ageing process and how the body changes Benefits, Contraindications and Considerations for Massage Routine and how to perform the massage (including modifications of standard massage techniques) ​ All equipment will be provided on the day. ​ Accredited with IPHM. Course duration - 1 Day. Price - £150.00 This course is in collaboration with Fine Tuning Treatments. ​ ​ This course is open to everyone, no qualifications required. T&C £50 booking fee is non refundable. No shows for any training course is non refundable. Full payment for any course is non refundable, for any circumstance as another date can be rescheduled for you. This payment can be transferred to another course at my discretion. Please be aware that when you book a course with me, you enter into a legal contract and by doing so you fully agree to adhere to my terms and conditions of trading.

Cancellation Policy

As of April 9th 2023. All appointments require a NON Refundable 50% booking fee at the time of booking.  In the event of a cancellation the booking fee is non refundable and the cancellation policy below will apply. Should you need to cancel your appointment within any time frame, the booking fee will be retained, it isn't redeemable against any other treatment.  Should you cancel your appointment on the day, an invoice for the remaining 50% will be sent to you. If you have paid the full amount for a treatment/special offer 50% of payment will be retained as the booking fee and 50% will be sent to you as a credit note. Any cancellation using a Gift card, voids the gift card entirely. All gift cards have 1 year to be used. Any expired gift cards will be void after this time. Any gift cards near their expiration date can be topped up for another year for £20. I completely understand that things can happen last minute and I assure you that I will be sympathetic in certain circumstances. Any refund that I choose to process will be dealt with on an individual basis, and will be sent back minus the bank/paypal charges I have incurred.
